How the documents work together

  1. 1

Read the rules: Read the 'Read this first' section and the AI and outside-help rules before anything else. (User Guide)

  2. 2

Check eligibility: Confirm your country participates and check age, work experience, degree and English rules in your current country profile. (User Guide)

  3. 3

Set your dates: Enter the closing date and back-plan documents, the English test and referee reports. (Application Timeline)

  4. 4

Recall your evidence: Record real experiences of leading change, working with stakeholders and solving problems. (STAR Evidence Bank)

  5. 5

Brief your referees: Send the brief early so that each report is signed and ready to upload before the closing date. (Referee Brief)

  6. 6

Reflect privately: Answer the recall questions in your own notes, then write your answers directly yourself. No one else reads, edits or improves them. (Self-Reflection Worksheets)

  7. 7

Check and submit: Run DFAT's pre-submission self-check and the final checklist, then submit in OASIS yourself. (User Guide)

  8. 8

Prepare the interview: If shortlisted, practise aloud with your notes, keeping answers short and within time. (Interview Question Bank)

Questions about this kit

Is using this kit allowed?

The kit is a private self-reflection workbook: it asks you questions and gives you checks, and nobody but you touches your application. Australia Awards Pakistan disqualifies applications that third parties submit or improve, and DFAT bans AI drafting, rewriting, paraphrasing and polishing, so we never see, write, edit or improve your answers.

Can applicants from India use it?

No. India is not on DFAT's list of Australia Awards participating countries, so Indian citizens are not eligible.

Are the questions current?

The supporting-statement questions come from the OASIS guide for the 2025 intake and the interview themes from the 2024-intake material. Check both in OASIS and your country profile when the round opens.
