Who it's for

  • Master's applicants in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Kenya or Ghana preparing for the next Fulbright cycle
  • Applicants who want structure for the Study/Research Objective and Personal Statement without sample essays
  • Applicants who need to check how their country's rules differ before investing in tests and references

How the documents work together

  1. 1

Confirm your route: Open your country page and check that the master's track is open this cycle, that your field is eligible and that you meet the work-experience and degree rules. (User Guide)

  2. 2

Set your dates: Enter your country deadline and any test date that must come before it, such as the GRE in Pakistan. (Application Timeline)

  3. 3

Map your fit: Work through the Country and university fit section so your field, priorities and reasons for US study are clear before you write. (Essay Worksheets)

  4. 4

Collect stories: Write 12 to 20 true stories and tag them to the selection factors. Look at the coverage sheet for gaps. (STAR Evidence Bank)

  5. 5

Brief referees: Ask three referees early, ideally at least one academic and one professional, and send the brief with your CV. (Referee Brief)

  6. 6

Work the essays: Answer the recall questions, plan each part, then write your own text within your country's length rules. (Essay Worksheets)

  7. 7

Check and submit: Run each self-check and the final checklist. Incomplete applications at the deadline are not considered. (User Guide)

  8. 8

Prepare the interview: If shortlisted, practise the questions aloud and review your Study Objective until you can explain it without notes. (Interview Question Bank)

Route check

Choose this kit if you will apply for a US master's through the Fulbright commission or U.S. Embassy in your country. If you are applying to Stanford with Knight-Hennessy funding, see the Knight-Hennessy kit. In Nigeria, check the U.S. Mission Nigeria page first: we could not confirm its current rules.

General information

General information, not admissions advice. Every fact in this kit is checked against the programme's own pages and linked to its source. Rules change between cycles.

Programme rule on AI and help: India: plagiarism leads to disqualification. Copying text generated by GenAI tools into the application may hurt admission or affiliation decisions, because US universities may scan for it.

Questions about this kit

Does this kit contain example essays?

No. Commissions and embassies warn against plagiarism and copied AI text, so the kit gives you questions, structures and checks, never text to copy.

What is the word limit for the Fulbright essays?

It depends on your country. Ghana asks for 1 to 2 pages, and USIEF's doctoral instructions for India advise about 50 lines; the other pages we checked state no limit. The guide lists what we confirmed, with sources.

Can I use this kit in Nigeria?

We could not confirm the current Nigerian rules, including whether master's applicants are eligible, because the U.S. Mission Nigeria page could not be opened. Check that page before buying.
